My husband and I were booked to get married May 26th 2012 at a venue in Napanee, when we found out only a couple months before the big day that the venue was closed.
As a bride-to-be, it was a nightmare come true.
After frantically searching for a new venue in the area, we decided to meet with Tana Gordanier from Colonnade Golf and Country Club.
My husband and I were smitten with her immediately. Her bubbly personality and excited nature were what sold us, but how she followed up is what made us fall in love.
We could tell she genuinely cared about making our big day special, and boy, did she deliver.
From the delicious home cooked food (which many of our guests said was the best they’ve ever had at a wedding,) to the decorations, we couldn’t have been more thrilled.
Tana served a selection of chicken or beef, with a side of mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Between kisses and smiles, what we managed to eat was incredibly delicious. In fact, we were half tempted to ask for a doggie bag to take back to the hotel afterwards.
I can say with complete honesty, that as beautiful as our former venue was, and as perfectly as it fit with our vintage theme, we were excited that it closed. We couldn’t have been more thrilled with Colonnade.
All of the staff and bartenders were friendly and cheerful, and made us and our guests feel not only welcomed, but special.
In the weeks preceding the wedding, Tana did everything she could to make sure we were going to be happy with the way things looked. The day of our wedding, the venue looked lovely. It was everything we dreamed it would be, and more.
So to Tana and the entire Gordanier family and staff, we say thank you. Thank you for making our Wedding Day as wonderful as it was.
To future brides and grooms in the Kingston area, be sure to check it out. You won’t be disappointed!!
