Our wedding was beautiful! Charleston in July can be hot, humid, and horrible, but our wedding day was the perfect temperature and not humid AT ALL! Charleston can definitely be a pricey place to get married, but with a little research and some legwork it is definitely doable - we stayed within $100 of our $12,000 budget and had the wedding of our dreams! A year later, everyone who came is still talking about it!
They worked with us to create the cake of our dreams, even when we changed our minds about what we wanted! They were very accommodating, and the cake was gorgeous and delicious!
Beautiful site, but the event coordinator was very difficult to work with.
Even though we were contractually obligated to pay for meals for 5 people that were unable to attend at the last minute ($250) we still had to pay extra for the drinks they mixed - $6 per drink for nonalcoholic beverages!
Great place, great food, great atmosphere. Everyone from my grandparents and his Memaw to the flowergirls and ring bearers loved this place. Several of our college-age friends ended up going here after the reception for drinks, and this is where the guys took my groom after the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. A great restaurant or hangout for any occasion!
They gave us a great group rate for our guests, and we have stayed here before. It is not too far from downtown, the inside of the hotel is gorgeous, and the guest rooms are sumptuous! This is our go-to hotel when we visit Charleston.
