We truly enjoyed our eco-friendly wedding in Washington, DC. We lucked out with the April weather, it was warm, breezy and there was not a raindrop in site.
The Memorial is a beautiful spot, and only requires a $50 park permit to rent. Make sure you bring the permit with you on the big day, we actually got checked out by a park policewoman and she said it was lucky we had the permit with us.
We really enjoyed using Hotel Rouge. The staff was really nice and the hotel is kind of funky :-), but well situated with large rooms. Kimpton Hotels are one of the only chains in the city to truly practice envrionmental awareness.
Restaurant Nora is delicious, and the meetings coordinator is easy to work with and really nice. The venue is pricey, but everything is organic and the space is very quaint and beautiful.
