Our wedding was incredibly fun! We stayed at Ragged Mountain Farm with our family (a beautiful mansion in the hills west of Charlottesville), which was an incredible place to get ready for the entire wedding party and parents. St. Paul's was a lovely church for the ceremony, with a great courtyard for a receiving line after the service. King Family Vineyards is (in my opinion) by far the most beautiful place in all of Charlottesville area to have your reception. Also great for an outdoor ceremony.
Timeless Affairs is a Lynchburg-based wedding event company, and I was able to get a very reasonable price ($350) to have two day-of coordinators organize our big day for us. They ran through our desired timeline with us in advance, ran the rehearsal (which was really great because there were competing ideas from participants, celebrants, and family members about how to do this, and the coordinator was able to speak on our behalf, enabling us just to relax and enjoy), and kept the entire timeline in check on the day of so we didn't have to worry about a thing. I HIGHLY recommend Timeless Affairs.
Very accommodating staff, great group rate of about $150. Not all the rooms have been redone yet. The breakfast and free airport shuttle made it so easy for our guests. They also allowed us to pull a bus into the parking lot to pickup all our guests, which was convenient.
Beautiful church with a wonderful courtyard for receiving line after the ceremony. Rev. Miller Hunter did a great job officiating and coordinating to share the service with our family friend. The bathrooms and parking lot are very accessible and convenient as well.
King Family Vineyards is THE PERFECT place to have your reception. We did an indoor ceremony at a local church and an indoor/outdoor reception. Sunset during cocktail hour was the best part. Everyone was stunned how beautiful it was. And our flower designer and catering company turned the inside into an incredibly elegant, special space.
