I would rate Maxim's a three because the cakes there taste great and we were going for cheap, which is what we got. The cake only cost $137 and fed 120 people. Of course it was just a simple slab cake which is probably not what most brides want on their wedding day. Tasted great, looked not the greatest.
This is actually a great place to have a ceremony. There's a little area surrounded with greenery where you can set up chairs. We were able to set up 90 chairs. The only problem might be that you'll have to share the park with others, and you can't reserve the spot.
The food here (chinese seafood) was great and worth the money. They were able to accommodate the special vegetarian diets of some our guests and also made small changes to the set menu. The only big complaint was that the manager in charge of our wedding kept on forgetting about our meetings and we had to go about 2 times before we actually got to sit down with him and discuss our day. Very unprofessional and a big waste of time.
