This is a beautiful historic temple, and the rabbi is wonderful. However, it is quite expensive to hold your wedding here. Also, you can't take photos or video from anywhere but the back, above the congregation, so don't expect to be able to get detailed shots of your ceremony.
The Pink House is amazing, and Bianca, the banquet manager is incredible. My event was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the service was incredible. I suggest an outdoor cocktail hour in reynolds square - the staff really knows how to make it beautiful, and the view at dusk is magical.
Gorgeous hotel in a perfect location. Rooms are spacious and beautiful, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The location on the River Walk does tend to get loud though, so several of my guests with riverfront rooms asked to switch.
The rooms and hotel amenities are great - clean and spacious. also having a pool on the roof is a big plus. However, the staff is a little behind the 8-ball - a lot of my guests had trouble booking rooms within the block, and they were totally inept at delivering guest welcome bags in the rooms, despite the fact that they were the only hotel that charged me to do so.
The view is beautiful from the banquet room, and the balconies are great, but although we've enjoyed every meal we've ever eaten there, the food wasn't very good when prepared in bulk. They also allowed us to stay well past our time frame (and left the bar open) thus ended up charging us much more than we had expected to pay. Yes, our fault that our guests drank so much, but their fault that they did not close the bar when the party was technically "over."
Churchill's has a great rooftop bar to hang out in after an affair. the crowd is relaxed and the drinks are great. packing at closing time!
