Our wedding was interrupted by Hurricane Irene, which happened to hit southern Maryland the hardest during our ceremony and reception. It's hard to review the vendors since it was such a 'special' day and of course, nothing went as planned. We can to evacuate the vineyard early due to loss of electricity and use of the restrooms. The caterer did a good job of keeping up with the event even though the 'rule book' had to be tossed out the window. We relocated to the Springhill Suites Marriott and took over their lobby. The DJ set up and we held the rest of the reception there. The hotel staff was outstanding and allowed us to actually HAVE a reception.
Diamond Limos did an excellent job and offer a great value. Our driver, Tony, was punctual and very friendly. We were married during Hurricane Irene and Tony escorted not only the bridal party but many guests back and forth in the torrential rain!! He proved to be even more than a driver that day! We were lucky to have such an understanding person that day.
My bridesmaids and I had a great time getting our hair and make up done at Michelangelo's in Lusby, MD. Not being from the area, I was nervous to find a place to do my hair. I was very happy with this salon! The manager Lisa had bagels for all of us. Jess did my hair and she was absolutely fabulous. We worked together to find the perfect style and I couldn't have been happier!!
Silver Line did a great job with pictures for our wedding. He captured every photo on the list and so many great candids. He was flexible, friendly and efficient.
Since our ceremony location was 2 hours from home, we had our rehearsal dinner at Piney Branch in Hampstead, MD. They have a great set up for on-site ceremonies for weddings and we were able to use their large covered deck as our rehearsal space! The pasta station was perfect for our guests and the romantic feel of the deck covered in lights, plus the view of the golf course was amazing. The caterer was accommodating to our needs and everyone had a great time!
We rented a school bus for the evening to take people from two hotels to the reception site. The price was excellent and the driver was on schedule. We had to evacuate early due to Hurricane Irene but luckily the bus was ready to go when we were!
The building is gorgeous, definitely what you are paying for in the rental fee. Though our wedding day was interrupted by a hurricane, we were still able to take pictures inside and on the covered patio outside which worked out well. The owners were easy to work with in the beginning and always had an answer to any questions I had. Unfortunately we couldn't stay the whole time since the electricity was out and the restrooms didn't work, plus there was danger of the road being blocked by fallen limbs/trees. Just a note if it rains, the room will unfortunately smell like sewage. They have been told there is nothing they can do about it.

We are so thankful for their service and understanding and certainly recommend them to other couples getting married in the area.
