Master DJ did an amazing job at our wedding and we are still receiving positive feedback from all our guests about how much fun our wedding was--mostly because the DJ kept the party going the entire night and the dance floor was always packed! We had a wide age range so this was no easy task! The only somewhat negative thing I could say was that some of our guest' song requests weren't played even though they weren't "do not play" songs. Besides that, I would definitely recommend them!
Father Leo Gavrilos at St. George Greek Orthodox has to be one of the nicest and most down-to-earth priests we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. My husband is 100% Greek and it was important to his family that we get married in a Greek Orthodox Church. Not being from the area, we looked at the only 2 Orthodox churches in the Quad Cities and not only is St. George more aesthetically beautiful but Father Leo was very accommodating and went out of his way to explain how an interfaith wedding/marriage would take place. He even got us a wedding present--which was so thoughtful and unexpected. I would definitely recommend this church!
The venue was perfect for our wedding as a large portion of our guests were from out of town so having the reception at the same place where everyone was staying made it convenient for our guests. Everyone commented that the hotel was beautiful and had extremely nice rooms for the price (we got a reduced rate for our wedding block). The actual ballroom is somewhat bare so we added lighting and ceiling draping; however, the food and service from the catering staff was amazing! Working with the catering manager Leah (and April) was a real treat as they were always willing to accommodate our requests and answer our numerous emails. The only downsides to this location was that the casino restricted some of our guests which resulted in negative feedback and the bartenders at our wedding were disregarding our instructions not to provide shots/specialty drinks. We made it clear what our open bar consisted of and heard that they were providing our guests with shots (which were not included in what we agreed to pay for) by pouring them over ice and marking it as a mixed drink. They also provided bottled beer (we paid for kegs) and premium/top shelf liquor to our guests which we had to pay for. Once we received the bar bill we tried to negotiate the bill as it was considerably higher than we anticipated. They did work with us a little bit but obviously there was no way to prove what was/was not consumed at our wedding.
My mother, sister and I are FREQUENT customers at Tango and it was clear that this would be the perfect place to get our hair & makeup done before the wedding. I arranged a trial run for my hair & makeup a few weeks before the wedding and on the morning of our big day, they allowed us to bring in food, drinks (mimosas), and music so we could enjoy getting ready together. This was definitely one of the highlights of the day--hanging out with my family & friends while getting pampered by the wonderful staff @ Tango!
