We really lucked out with a summer wedding in Sioux Falls! With South Dakota, it was a total crap shoot that we would get good weather for our outdoor event! We totally lucked out! It couldn't have been more perfect weather or more amazing of a day! Wedding Mapper was a great tool to insert maps with the invitations for our out of town guests. You can customize with your personal event information; it was a great tool!
McKennan Park was a perfect place to have a wedding! No decorations needed for the sunken gardens, as there are flowers and greenery everywhere! The parks and rec department were very easy to deal with! The only problem is VERY limited parking! So do remind guests to carpool!
The Old Courthouse Museum was an excellent place for a reception! Our contact at the museum (Marty) was like a pseudo wedding planner making all the calls and coordinating all of the vendors; she was awesome! Loved have the location downtown, but parking was a bit of an issue (especially on a Saturday night). The only downfall of the actual venue was that it was quite warm in there, with all of the guests and dancing. Though it does have AC, it's still an historical building and it was quite warm for a summer wedding!
