Since we were paying for our own Wedding, we were very budget conscious.
We eliminated some "unnecessary" expenses such as Limousine and DJ (iPod & speakers).
We were able to do many things ourselves such as Invitations (VistaPrint), Decorations, and Table Center Pieces.
We were able to get some friends in their profession to help us wtih the Sound, Music, Video, and Engagement Rings.
We found affordable yet quality vendors with Catering, Flowers (Whole Foods), Make Up/Hair (Craigslist), Ceremony, Reception, and Favors (Etsy).
We acquired the Wedding Dress and Photographer "on sale".
And we were able to make a difference in someone's life by purchasing our Wedding Bands from Do Amore.
It was such a tremendous experience and to have worked with all of them, and seeing them come together for us on our special day was just incredible.
Paying a lot does not necessarily mean you will get the best. Look around and get to meet your vendors personally. Don't be afraid to invest some money into your journey to find who you want and don't be afraid to drop them either. Only use the ones you feel most comfortable with.
There are 3 key ingredients when looking for a caterer:
(1) Quality of Food
(2) Execution and Professionalism of Staff
(3) Fairness in Price
Mehmet (proprietor) and his staff were amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any function of any size.
You can't beat the service, quality, and price of an engagement ring from Henry. It's no wonder why so many people trust him.
We wanted to do more than just get married, but also make an impact in people's lives. Every ring not only brings two people closer for life, it also gives two people safe water life. And I haven't even mention how Krish (proprietor) was so patient and professional.
We were so lucky and thankful to have Jessica as our wedding photographer. Creative, unconventional, artistic, and imaginative are just a few words that best describe her style.
Ty and Tim Anderson were so awesome to work with. Everything went seamless they were fun to work with. The wedding video was so much more than we could ever ask for.
This may be the best kept secret for small wedding ceremonies. Not only is it beautiful, quiet, and romantic, but it is extremely affordable. Has a nice garden and a beautiful setting for pictures as well.
This is the greatest kept secret in Northern NJ and the NYC Metropolitan area. The hall is romantic, quaint, and affordable. Maria (rental agent) was beyond helpful and took the time to ensure everything would perfect on our wedding day. We owe her a big "THANKS!" We would highly recommend The Woman's Club of Englewood.
