We were looking for a place to get married that wasn't too obscure but wasn't run-o-the-mill. The Historic Chapel at Allaire Village was a perfect fit!
Our DJ, Jay, from Elite was everything we could have asked for and more. He even sang a couple of great songs during dinner. As the dance floor emptied out, he knew the right time to play a slow song to get folks out on the floor and his transitions to fast, dance, and slow songs was well-timed. We got a lot of compliments about him from our guests. Great job, Jay!
The chapel was the quaint, atypical venue my husband and I were looking for. The grounds provided a venue or our photographer that resulted in some amazing pictures I know we'll cherish forever. We were able to work with the time constraints given by Allaire, although I will say that they were quite tight. Another half an hour in the chapel would have been nice...
The service to my husband and I and our guests was top-notch. The organizers at The Mill were easy to work with and listened to our requests.
The staff was courteous and pleasant and the rooms were clean. I am glad my husband and I and our guests had such a nice place to stay. The only complaint I have is that they did not offer us the right of first refusal in reserving the conference room. We ended up buying breakfast for folks downstairs the next morning using guest vouchers - a less expensive choice, afterall - but if it hadn't been for my wedding planner I'm not sure we'd have been offered this option.
