Our wedding was wonderful. The weather was perfect - not too hot and not cold. Early may in Charleston can be hit or miss and we really lucked out, especially since the wedding was outdoors. We couldn't have asked for a better day.
While the photographers seemed to be everywhere at once, the pictures of the bride and groom and wedding party after the ceremony were very rushed. We did not get a lot of the pictures I would have liked. Also, the pictures we received were not edited and the exposure and lighting were terrible. I have to find photo editing software to try and fix some of them.
The food was excellent - a month after the wedding and we are still hearing how good it was. Lauren Miller was fantastic as the coordinator and took care of everything for us. I would highly recommend them.
The flowers were beautiful and just what I wanted. But the ribbon that they used to tie the bouquets was the wrong color, and I believe they shorted us a mother's corsage.
Me, my mom, and my MOH got our hair done by Kim at the downtown location. I think all of our hair looked great, but a piece of mine started to fall in the back before we even made it into the reception. The rest of it held up great, though, and overall I was happy with the results.
The ceremony was held under the large tree in the corner of the lawn overlooking the harbor. It was absolutely stunning. The only drawback was the people that were letting their dogs run around before the wedding. I know it is a public park, but we paid a lot of money to rent it and I think people should be respectful. Especially since we were told we could not be on the lawn the evening before for our rehearsal since someone else had it rented.
The hall is wonderful and was perfect for our 103 people. I question them saying that it can hold 350, though. The views are breathtaking and it was all around perfect for our wedding.
