Rachael at Intricate Icings is not only a very talented cake decorator/designer, but the cake actually tastes really wonderful too. Rachael doesn't freeze her cakes so the cake was super moist and our guests raved about it. We had a red velvet cake with chocolate mousse filling and vanilla butter cream frosting. It was delicious and the design was exactly what I described. Rachael was a pleasure to work with and delivered an exceptional cake.
Nicole at Cottage Garden Creations did an amazing job on our flowers and worked within our limited flower budget. Our flowers were gorgeous and blew away my expectations. Nicole is very talented and was really flexible and easy to work with.
Thankfully the food and service staff at our reception were fantastic, because I had a miserable experience working with the caterer's event manager who had been assigned to our wedding. The lack of professionalism and customer service in the planning process was disappointing.
Jennifer and her husband Steve were an amazing team. I really appreciated how they took the time to get to know us as before the wedding. They captured so many wonderful moments from our special day and really went above and beyond to spend the day with us to capture so many memories.
This historic church is a great location for an intimate wedding. We were able to decorate the church on Thursday before our wedding and had flexibility in choosing our own officiant and scheduling our rehearsal and wedding ceremony dates and times since the church does not hold regular services. The church is in immaculate shape and provided a unique and special setting for our ceremony. The only drawbacks are the lack of bathrooms (there are outhouses on the church grounds) and the lack of a changing room to dress at the church. We worked around this by telling our guests ahead of time what the bathroom situation was and getting dressed at our hotel before traveling to the church.
