We had such a great day! But, as everyone says, the day went by too quickly. September was a great choice for timing to get married in MN. The colors were beautiful and the temp was just right. We were able to go to Lake Nokomis and take some great pictures. With almost half of our guests unfamiliar with the area, weddingmapper.com was the perfect tool to for giving clear and attractive directions to our guests. I would recommend the site for anyone getting married for both local and traveling guests!!
This band is AMAZING! Not your typical "wedding band", they are more rock. They play a large variety of music, and a male and female on lead vocals, that made it fun for our guests of all ages. They even learned a new song for our first dance. They were professional and fun! I would definitely recommend this band!
It was exactly what we were looking for. Pastor Mark is great! He really got to know us on a personal level and made our ceremony personal to us. We were able to choose what we wanted the ceremony to look like. And our wedding coordinators at the church were great - helping at the rehearsal and day of. They were there for the last minute "emergencies" and made the day go stress-free.
There is TONS of room! A great stage for the band, a huge dance floor (and they didn't need to move tables to make room), a nice bar aread, seating near the dance floor, great food, delicious cake, and a super host (ask for Jesus). After some convincing, we were able to bring in our own "candy bar" as the favors for our guests. Would definitely recommend this location, but the "min cost" is a little high.
Our shuttle service tried to stop the reception pick up 20 minutes early which left the entire wedding party and some guests waiting outside the reception. As the bride and groom we did receive a free room since we had more than 10 rooms booked. The continental breakfast in the morning was nice.
