We got married at the Santa Monica Loews Hotel. It was a typical scorching day in the valley however as we got closer to the coast it cooled off comfortably. Our ceremony took place in the evening before sundown. The only bad thing about having your wedding over looking the beach is never really being sure if the fog will come in. And in our case it did but only after the ceremony. Fortunately the wedding took place inside. Nonetheless the wedding was perfect in our eyes. The Loews Hotel has a private patio area across the street where we took our pictures at. After the photographs were taken we headed back into the hotel for our reception. The food was sooo good. The reception room overlooked the beach and the Santa Monica Pier so lights looked amazing at night. The reception room was somewhat small but it was the perfect size for our 95 guests. The day of course goes by so fast. At the end of the night we retired to our room at the hotel. The room was a corner room with a breathtaking view of the ocean and pier. In looking back we loved our vendors. Everyone we worked with was awesome. Not one of them was there ever a problem. I would recommend every single one of them.
Jesus Pedroza is the owner. He is absolutely amazing with his work. All I had to do was tell him what I was looking for and he knew what to do. I got my tulips in the summer time when most place said no. He even some how made sure to keep my gardenias looking fresh throughout the day. And the flowers smelled so good. He transformed what was a plain looking room for the ceremony into a magical place.
They are a mother/daughter team. They know their stuff and know how to make of what could be stressful day into a seamless day. They made everything seem effortless. I had a lot of specific details I wanted met and they jumped right into it without a problem. They even decorated our bridal suite so beautiful with rose petals and candles.
Ali & Noel are the photographers. They are husband and wife. They are super sweet and great to work with. It was great having the 2 of them throughout the day as we got to have advantage of having 2 different perspectives. We only got the preliminary photos back so far. And we love them. They put it a photo slideshow together that we could email to our friends and family. The slideshow even included the song to our first dance.
The Four Seasons hospitality is probably the best I have ever experiences. The resort in Bora Bora was truly unique. We had one of the over the water bungalows that glass bottom panels within the room. Also the spa experience was amazing. We chose the couples 3 hour treatment. They took us to a private room over the water and bathed our feet first. Then they started our massage. While face down on the bed we looked down on the glass bottom floor and watched the fish go by. After the treament was finished with a coconut milk bath on a private outdoor balcony that was lit with just candles and accompanied with a fruit tray and juice. We were truly spoiled. We also decided to have a private in room dining experience. Which consisted of our own private server that served our dinner course by course. He even decorated our room for us for a more romantic setting. Truly awesome.
Everyone was sucha pleasure to work with. We got married inside their Ocean Atrium. We had less than 100 guests so the room was perfect for that size. All the hotel staff was very accomodating. David Houde was who worked with and he made sure everything was taken care of. We took pictures outside in a garden area and he made sure the wait staff were out there serving us champagne and hor dourves. Everyone from the valet to catering dept were expecting us and made sure our day was a day to remember.
