We got married October 11, 2008 in El Paso. We live in Las Cruces, but I was born and raised in the Sun City. El Paso was definitely way cheaper than Las Cruces due to more competition of businesses. I think you really have a great opportunity to choose from so many different places, but it can also be tough not knowing what to choose. Let us know if we can help at all with any examples of affordable and great places. You want your day to be classy and beautiful, but also being able to afford it!
We ordered a cake for 150 people and the price was only $200!!!!! Any design you want!!! Cox's has pictures of cakes you want or you can take your own. They don't do fondant...which looks pretty but doesn't taste very good. They do the old fashioned buttercream and make it beautiful! Go mom and pop shop and you'll definitely save.
Nora Marquez and her husband Mark were so helpful! They found us the most affordable florist, (24 tables, 15 bouttenieres, 14 bouquets including mine and 3 corsages for under $1500!!!) If you want the best deals, go with them!
Room for 220 guests seated, 300 standing. The wait staff was incredible, the hotel has just been remodeled and your guests can stay in the hotel with an open style. Price of plate is $20 a head, so it can be a bit pricey, but a lot cheaper compared to other hotels such as the Marriott and Camino Real. You do have to pay the room rental fee which comes out to about $2500 plus per plate. So depends on how many you want to feed. They only do sit down and not buffet style which I think adds class. They were so helpful and did a great job!
