Okay, this is actually for the venue and the food since they are one and the same. I can't even begin to describe how amazing this experience was. Lori at Pettibone is great. Fast, fast, fast email responses for a nervous bride as far as 15 months before the wedding. Super nice and accommodating. The place is really nice, and the outdoor patio was amazing for our ceremony. Had such an amazing time. The coordinators that night were really professional and nice as well. I was so pleased with everything and couldn't have had a better day. And the food and salad bar was also better than a lot of wedding food I've had before (and I've had quite a bit). I chose Pettibone because it was a very pretty venue with the most reasonable prices I could find, and I shopped around quite a bit. I definitely recommend.
When we got engaged there was not question about where we wanted our wedding. Pettibone holds a special place in our hearts and we knew we wanted an outside wedding. We also knew we wanted our wedding to be on a Friday night with the reception/dance immediately following the ceremony. Pettibone is so beautiful as is, with a tiny touch of our own decorations we made it ours. We loved being able to have Pettibone cater our food and we went with hor'devours instead of a dinner, and Pettibone was able to set up the tables so we could have places for everyone to sit and eat their food. We also liked that in case of bad weather, we easily could have done our wedding inside.
This location is beautifull and great for a small to medium wedding. I was very happy with how my wedding turn out here. I couldn't have asked for a prettier day and scene. The deck is perfect for an out door ceremony. Be a little carefull of all the little extra charges for services. Also keep in mind that you won't be getting a full wait staff since it is a buffet set up. So pooring glasses for a toast and such has to be done by the guests. Also be aware and ask many questions up front about what qualifies to meet the minimum charge for food and beverage. When we were planning we thought an hour of open bar with be part of that minimum but apartently it's not you have to buy one of their packages for the bar to have it be included. Our guests love the tenderloin tips, but our chicken was a little dry. We went to another wedding there later and had the pork and it was also dry (but again the tips were great). The rest of the food appetizers, salad, veggies were all great. People were having such a great time here that we had plenty of people still around at the end of the reception to help clean up. :)
