Fantastic location, fantastic staff, fantastic all round !!! Everyone commented on the venue, as most of our guests had travelled for a good 40-50 minutes to get there...they all said how they now understood why we had chosen it !! When we first viewed the venue, we had no idea on numbers. This usually meant that we got told to go away and when we had numbers, come back, but Heaton House Farm showed us how they can accomodate anything between 12 and 400 guests !! No minimum, no maximum, none of the usual annoying 'you must do as we say' rules that all the other venues seem to love to throw at you.
Mick, Margaret and Mandy were all superbly professional throughout (including when we had a slight wobble about not being able to afford certain things) and were a voice of calm at every step. There really is nothing that is too much trouble for them !
There is so much space for people, both inside and out - we even had an area especially for the children. I supplied books and toys, and they placed them on tables, with small chairs etc. Outside, there is a field that has been converted into a huge lawn - My videographer mentioned that it was the first wedding he'd been to, where he filmed the guests playing rounders !!
On the day, we couldn't have wished for better - everytime I needed something, I asked Mick or Margaret (or one of their staff), and they took care of it - making a point of telling me to go back to enjoying my wedding day - what more can you ask for !?
They had recommendations for suppliers that far exceeded our needs, and were happy to supply anything else you could possibly think of on the day, if you so wished. It was put to me like this : Make a like list of what you want, that way they can make sure everything is just right on your day. IF they can't do it, they will try and find someone who can.
Wonderful place, fantastic people, and a location to take your breath away. And the car park is enormous, if you need it.
