Historic Water Street Inn in the heart of Downtown Stillwater. All guestrooms with double whirlpools, most with fireplaces and balconies overlooking the River. Restaurant with indoor & outdoor seating, Irish Pub overlooking the river, meeting, banquet and wedding facilities for 2 to 300 people. Stillwater’s only hotel and restaurant on the River next to the Historic Lift Bridge.
Nice location on the river for a reception and the banquet room was just the right size. Michelle was great to work with in the planning. Food was alright but nothing special. Good value for the cost.
I would give ZERO stars if I could. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!! Absolute worst wedding experience in my life
The setting is charming and scenic. Unfortunately, our experience was not the same as other reviewers. Our entrees were cold, the red potatoes were undercooked or raw, the chicken dish was hard with uncooked wild rice. They seemed to be understaffed; water carafes were never re-filled, the 137 meals took an hour to serve and the tables were not cleared for 2 hours. Worst of all, during a phone call the staff denied that there had been any problems and a follow-up complaint letter has not been responded to. A disappointing part of an otherwise wonderful day.
I loved the location and it was perfect with a beautiful night on the river. We had 250 people and the hall is suppose to hold 300 people. It was a very tight squeeze with 250. We covered the dance floor too which was inconvenient for our quests because we had to move them along. I think it is a great location, but the rooms are expensive, the hall is better suited for a smaller wedding and be sure to bring your own projector for your slide show (I was never informed and so we didn't get to show our slide show)
Tracy Jo is a dream event planner! Water Street was very accomodating and easy to work with. It was great for the reception, we had about 200 people, but there is room to spread out, between the hallway, outdoor patio and room itself.
