Reception:

We hadn't really heard much about the Viking, but when we called we were very pleasantly surprised! Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. We had a 'modest' budget for our entire wedding...it's worth mentioning that Dad loved that they met our budget! And isn't that the point of your Wedding...to make dad happy!! :)Besides that, working with them was like having a wedding planner because it was all packaged together with the food (we loved!) and the DJ (who was awesome!) and the Cake (also AWESOME!) and most awesome...the open bar! They kept us on track in regards to deadlines and such, and were always incredibly helpful since we had never done anything like planning a wedding before! All in all, I'm very glad we ended up going with the Viking, they helped make the most important day of my life to date go very smoothly! It was such a GREAT Wedding Weekend Extravaganza!

Hotel Rooms:

Having the hotel attached to the reception site was SO convenient. I have a huge family (ranging ALL OVER the place in age). Most went to their rooms to freshen up, or administer naps, etc. between the ceremony and reception while we got our wedding pictures. The rest (of course) ended up in the hotel lobby bar! Even though the majority of our family lives all over St. Louis, most of them stayed at the hotel, and everyone gave me great compliments after the wedding about what a great time they all had! (And how glad they were that they got rooms since we had an open bar!...some even decided to stay that night! lol)
