Sharon our wedding coordinator did a fabulous job keeping the wedding flowing perfectly. The white room was a beautiful venue overlooking the bay. The food was delicious! Definitely recommend a wedding there!!
Our wedding reception was spectacular. We were seeking an intimate location for just around 100 persons and The white roomBallroom provided not only a stunning location with remarkable ambiance, a team of courteous and professional staff but most importantly a package of convenience that actually elevates the dreaded wedding stress that none of us really want to deal with. They truly know what they are doing, we couldn’t recommend higher or suggest anything better in St Augustine. Standing applause with extra special thanks to our coordinator,Jen Givens, who will never be forgotten !
Breathtaking views of the water and the Bridge of Lions. We danced the night away, enjoyed tasty entrées and great company. It was definitely a winner!
Loved working with these guys. Made it stress free. The most beautiful place and fun place for a wedding. Food was also delicious
The ceremony and reception were held in The White Room Loft. This is the view coming down from The White Room Staircase.
My daughter got married 2 weeks ago. The White Room is extraordinary. It is beautiful, classy and private. I can not say enough about the staff. They are very helpful and do little touches to make your wedding memorable. All of our guests were pleased. The food for our sit down dinner was great and Courtney along with our DJ and photographer kept the evening going smoothly. My daughter had the the wedding beyond her expectations. Thank you, White Room and Staff!
When I first saw a picture of the White Room on a photographer's website I knew I had to see it in person. Once I saw the dark hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, floor to ceiling mirrors, and the wall of windows overlooking the Matanzas Bay I was sold. This place is absolutely goregous!! The space can accommadate any style or theme. There are three options available; the main ballroom, the loft space for a more intimate feel or the rooftop. Each space is beautiful. The food was amazing! You can choose from a variety of options from a formal sit down dinner to a buffett style brunch. The choice is yours. Shannon and the rest of the staff were great!! Any question I had she answered and when the wedding day came, I knew that I didn't have to worry about a thing.
As soon as we visited the White Room we knew it was the wedding location for us. A little pricey, but in the end it seemed so worth it to us.
The ceremony took place on the rooftop and turned out beautifully! The view is so pretty and it's just a great location. It was a little windy that day, however, so we were unable to use the aisle runner that we purchased...we discovered later that it was accidentally thrown away by the staff during clean up, which was pretty disappointing, but mistakes happen!
The reception space we used, the Ballroom, is absolutely gorgeous. It's an ideal place for being able to convey YOUR vision for your reception. Hardwood floors, LOTS of windows and very neutral...no ugly carpet or walls to contend with when deciding on your decor.
The food is delicious, but we did hear later on that it took a little while for the staff to begin serving the appetizers once everyone was seated and were waiting on the Bridal Party (as a side note: because of the location, I would recommend taking as many of your photos BEFORE the ceremony as possible). And there were no appetizers set aside for my husband and I, even though we requested that before the wedding. :( I think our guests must have been really hungry!
Because it's St. Augustine, parking is an issue, but we arranged for guests to park in the parking garage and the trolley dropped people off right in front of the venue, as well as bringing them back to the garage. Too bad a few of our guests didn't pay enough attention to the Direction Card that we included in the invitation...They drove all the way down, couldn't find a parking place close to The White Room, then left out of frustration! Parking garage, people!
All in all, the day ended up being pretty close to perfect for us. Little things always go wrong, but the staff here does a great job of making sure they take care of it without worrying you about anything. I can't imagine my wedding day having been anywhere else.
We knew we wanted to have our wedding reception here when we first visited this venue with its gorgeous hardwood floors, spacious mahogany bar, large columns, brick accent wall, etc which overlooks the Bay. The food that evening was good. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service leading up to our event, between the resignation of the coordinator to the lack of communication, as well as the lack of urgency and organization on the evening of our wedding reception.
We had our ceremony in the White Room Loft and our reception in the White Room (2nd floor). Midway during our planning process, the White Room changed coordinators and we were blindsided by the changes. It seems as though during our planning process, the contracts changed and during conversations with the new coordinator, we would get confused about what was/was not in our contract. As our wedding day approached, I was getting very nervous about everything getting done prior to the wedding. Although the coordinator assured me that they would take care of everything, I was still nervous because I am a perfectionist and I wanted to make sure that my 12 months of planning and working would be carried out on our day. It was hard to relinquish control to the coordinator and her staff. I am pleased to say that everything was carried out and our guests were overwhelmed with how everything looked, how the food tasted, and how attentive the staff was. Once the wedding began, everything flowed smoothly. My guests had a wonderful time at the wedding. I know that our wedding experience would have been more enjoyable had there not been a coordinator change, but I know that is not something that can be controlled.
Expensive, but a beautiful room and everyone said the food was terrific. They did charge us for bring ing extra people, which they shouldn't of because others canceled. But the room was perfect. Tough for parking, everyone will have to walk a bit.
Food is very costly but good. We had rception on a Fri nite to save money and it worked out great. Such a gorgeous room you can't go worng!
The White Room was an exceptional place for my wedding. They were awesome! The staff was great, the food was delicious, and the setting is beautiful! I strongly recommend them for a perfect wedding!
In the end everything was great and everything turned out perfect. The wait staff went above and beyond to make sure we and our guests were having a great time and had everything we needed. The food was wonderful. Everyone raved that is was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. And the overall experience/evening was wonderful.
Getting everything together was another story. The first coordinator working there was pretty good. She was able to help us along the way and we ended up with everything we wanted. We also worked with another coordinator at the that was very helpful... But the transition between the two (2 weeks before our wedding) was not so great. I was never notified that the first coordinator had left. The explanation was that she hadn't had a chance to get with everyone before leaving. Well this is fine if the wedding is 2 months away but not two weeks. So I found out because I was sending emails and not getting a response so I called to find out what was going on. Everything ended up turning out fine but the way the transition was handled, in my opinion, was very unprofessional.
Very beautiful... a little pricey, but worth it! Parking is very limited in the area, especially for a weekend wedding. We suggested to guests to park in the Trinity Episcopal parking lot for under $10.. just a couple blocks away and no need to worry about parking meter.
The White Room and staff was SPECTACULAR! They are true professionals! Our wedding day had ZERO flaws and was more perfect than we ever dreamed. Our friends & family can not stop talking about the beauty of St. Augustine, The White Room, decor, food, drinks, balcony, etc. The White Room is a special place.
