Description

Set on a headland where the Pacific Ocean spills into San Francisco Bay, the Legion of Honor is one of the most beautiful museums in the country. Visitors to the Legion enjoy the grandeur of its neoclassical architecture, unforgettable views and 4,000 years of Ancient and European art. Located in Lincoln Park, this unique art museum is one of the greatest treasures in a city that boasts many riches. Originally opened in 1924 the Legion of Honor was extensively renovated in 1995. The design for the California Palace of the Legion of Honor is a three-quarter-scale adaptation of the eighteenth-century Parisian original, incorporating the most advanced ideas in museum construction.

The Legion of Honor is one of San Francisco's most sought-after venues for corporate events, weddings and a variety of private parties.
