LOCAL TALK< back to topic list >
Ok so I'm getting married June 1 2013, we would like to do the wedding on the beach in port lavaca, we decided on this location because that is where we will be staying and want to stay close the the condo. My problem is rentals, this is going to be simple, so all we would really like is benches and maybe an arch way. Can any one help with this and any ideas. Does the beach requires a permit?

Ok so non of the vendors returned calls or answered this post, so we are left to do it ourselves. We are a firm believers that God does not put more on us than we can handle; with that being said we called HEB about the flowers and they are more than willing and helpful, they are also doing our finger food and could do our cake; however we have a lady where we live that is doing that. Our pictures will be done by a family member and the music we are bringing and will not stress if everything is not perfect. The wedding will be held on the beach, right by the condo that we rented and we came up with some pretty cool ideas about everything else. Pics to follow for those who are looking to get married here and lack the help.
Ok wedding was wonderful, we had it on the beach, didn't need a permit, sunset was our time frame to work with, we decorated 4 tiki torches with star fish and straw to create our aisles and in between we had floating candles and yellow flowers, the guest sat on bamboo beach mats which we gave away after, we bought a karaoke machine with mic so our guest could hear and we were able to plug in out phones with the music selection. After we had a simple finger food, cake and champagne reception at the condo we rented. We had about 30 people and everyone was comfortable. For pics we had our guest use an app that allowed all of our pictures to go from their phone to directly to this app that is creating our album. I will post pics and update with any new information. HEB did our finger food and flowers and they were professional, prompt, inexpensive, and very helpful. I got a lot of ideas from pintrest and prayer, didn't take things to seriously and kinda went with the flow. If you are doing it yourself please feel free to ask any questions if I can help I will.
