Does anyone have any pictures and/or videos from their wedding on the lawn at the fort? I do not want to have a night wedding so we have opted to have a wedding on the lawn. I know wind is an issue everyone keeps talking about, but I am very curious about just HOW windy it really gets ??? My ceremony is in June of 2013.

Hi Cristina,
Wedding at El Morro lawn can be beautiful with an incredible background.
Here are couple of weddings that I have captured there. One is an elopement (I was the witness too) and the other one was a small 30-40 people. Their reception was at El Convento.

If you need more information I can email you the documents from El Morro explaining everything you need, costs, etc. email me at [email protected]
Hope that helps,

I got married in San Juan 2 1/2 years ago, and of course I wanted pictures at El Morro, which were taken right before the ceremony! Well, walking from the drop-off point to El Morro made me break a sweat, a bleaster, and let's not even talk about how my hair ended up looking! I would do it all over again, except that I'll bring an extra pair of comfy shoes, ask for extra bobby pins, mega hold hair spray, and 3 layers of primer under my foundation!
Hello-
I'm also getting married in San Juan in June 2013. I'm looking for any information on pricing for El Morro. I think that it is absolutely beautiful!! I know there is an administration fee, an application fee and I think a fee for a photographer but that's all that I am able to find. I had originally planned on having my ceremony and reception at El Convento but now thinking about having the ceremony at El Morro if the pricing/fees are similar. Please let me know if you have any information or suggestions. Thanks so much!!!
I believe is not expensive. The guy in charge is Jorge Maldonado: [email protected]
Hope that helps

My biggest dream was to have my ceremony inside El Morro. Given all the other options such as outside somewhere in some corner or after 6pm inside the fort as last possibility I instead gave it up. We decided to spare everyone from doing the walk from there to the reception at El Convento. Instead what we hope to do is recreate our wedding day soon and take spectacular pictures with Raymond productions. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all at El Convento . What I'm trying to say is that to me is my best option at the moment . To have the pictures for a lifetime of all the splendor a of Old San Juan .
