hello, my fiance and I are planning to get married on Feb 5, 2013. We are looking for a place to only have our wedding ceremony in with perhaps 20 people..and we would like to have our ceremony indoors, with a JP, not in a church. Id love to have it outside but i'm pretty sure it would be way to cold...i tried looking into the Regina Floral Conservatory but until they hire a new event coordinator they are not taking any bookings...i need help with suggestions for places as we do not know the city and have just recently moved here within the last month and half. Please and Thank-you!

There are always small banquet rooms at Hotels, I have heard of people using Crave kitchen as well. Sherwood forest Golf course also has indoor space. I have even seen people use the Science Centre. I know some of JPs in the city use their homes as a location or should have a list of indoor spaces. Good luck. www.revealedphotography.wordpress.com

I would definately wait out the floral Conservatory, as it is beautiful and you don't have to go anywhere else for pictures afterwards, if you didn't want to.
We got married about 10min outside of the city in Brora United Church. It is a little coubtry church that holds about 100 people. They will allow people to use a JP if that is what you would like to do. It makes for nice pictures with the stained-glass windows and the older style decor. You could always see if you could just put chairs in the Ledgislature or somewhere to have a quick ceremony. I've never heard of anyone doing that, but I don't know why that would be a problem :) ..especially for such a small ceremony. I have a friend who held their wedding reception in a room at the Mackenzie Art Gallery, and they catered it there. You could maybe have the ceremony, as well as your reception all in the same place. You could also just book a conference room or 'ballroom' at a hotel to have everything in one place as well. :) Good luck!
