We are having a hard time finding a venue for our wedding that will meet all of our needs. I don't think we are asking for much. We will have under 100 guests and want a Saturday late afternoon / early evening wedding. We are looking for a venue where we can have the wedding outside. And then have the reception at the same place. We want a place that has the ability to have the party flow out onto a terrace if the weather is really nice. Or have some people sit inside; others outside under a tent since they are warmer blooded. We would like a place with big windows or french doors or sliding glass doors to a beautiful garden, pasture, pond, lake, etc. We want to let nature in - and go out in it. We want the venue and the tents to cost no more than $2500 tops! And we must be able to have alcohol since we don't drink beer or wine. But we can't find this mythical creature!!
We have viewed about 12 places. So far we've looked at Cedarbrook in Seatac, Wine & Roses Estate in Auburn, Stonecreek in Kent, Laurel Creek Manor in Sumner, The Orting Manor in Orting, Lake Wilderness Lodge in Maple Valley, Rock Creek Gardens in Puyallup, The Landmark in Tacoma, Pioneer Park Pavillion in Puyallup, etc. It seems like if it is a good place to have the reception (not too stuffy) the pictures would not turn out good (read- kind of ugly). Some seem really proactive; some seem like they will nickel and dime (or more like $50 and $100) us to death.
Do you have a alternate suggestion? PLEASE - We are all ears!!! Our wedding is next Spring so we need to make a decision asap.
THANK YOU!
