We had our reception at Mattisons 41. They let us design our own menu, signiture drinks and even made a beautiful wedding cake. People are still talking about the food 2 years later. We rented a huge house for the week and most people slept there. But some stayed a Jamican Royal. They really enjoyed the three swimming pools. We hired Sun weddings for the ceremony and it was beauiful. The person they had to the ceremony was wonderful the steel drum player was amazing!

How big is your wedding? We got married at the Palm Bay club on the beach and it was beautiful. I would highly recommend Georgeann Butler to officiate your wedding. I am so excited for you! I just got married last month in Siesta Key and I am soooo happy with my decision.

Hi Jennifer,
I also planned our wedding from out of state. The ladies of SunWeddings did an amazing job with our wedding. They are so helpful and friendly and just do a wonderful weddings. We were married on the beach with a small reception. We stayed at the Jamicia Royal which was fabulous. Congrats and good luck with your wedding!
Hi Jennifer, we also used SunWeddings. They're awesome! Helped us with everything. Mattison's 41 being one of the recomendations by them, and we were very happy with everything.

Call Tammie at Siesta Key Events. She knows the best vendors, locations, etc. We just got married in Siesta on May 5th. Tammie is awesome, she coordinated our whole wedding and was with her help we ended up saving a bundle. Her husband was our DJ, her sister our photographer, her kids were servers at our reception. Plus she knows everyone in the key and will be able to advise you which vendors to go to and which ones to avoid. Alot of our vendors gave us discounts when we told them we were working with Tammie. Tell her Kim & Mark told you to call! You won't regret it. Best of luck! (one note - we booked our venue before meeting Tammie - big mistake. We hosted our reception at the Beach Point Resort. great spot, but the owner is a nightmare, avoid at all costs. He was screaming at me 2 days before me wedding for no reason at all. Lucky for us - Tammie was there to set him straight. If we had talked to tammie before booking, she would have warned us about him - he's known in the area for being a loose cannon).

How many people are you looking at having? I'm local, and using Nellie's Catering at a private Beach house. They have been fantastic. We/some of our guests are staying at the Hyatt on Siesta - it's a bit of a splurge, but gorgeous!
Depending on how formal you're looking at, there are tons of restaurants to choose from! Not a whole lot of spaces for a large reception, but siesta dunes has a nice space for up to 100.
