Out of State, need help planning my wedding ceremony ocean side in Fort Bragg, CA! :)

Flying in from Chicago to our favorite place in the world, Fort Bragg, CA! I need help with so much, I don't even know where to begin. I want to be able to get married at ocean side with my feet planted on the sand. Do we need a permit for that? Are there free places I can get this done? I have a few places in mind but don't even remember the name of the places. There is this part of the ocean we go to in Fort Bragg. It is by a bridge, you can see some big trees that are slanted from there. There is a small parking lot that leads to a small bridge, and down a cliff to the ocean. I need help on trying to get that location for my ceremony. If there is anyone with suggestion, please let me know. Thank You, Lety

Dear Lety,

I know just where you want to be married. The trestle goes across the beach where Pudding Creek empties into the ocean. The trees are just west of the Beachcomber Motel in Fort Bragg.
I am a wedding officiant and have done a number of services along the headlands there and if our schedules work out would love to be of service to you. I am including a picture of the cypress trees you mentioned.

Thank you, that exactly the place I was speaking of!!! Do you know where to get a permit to have my ceremony down there by the ocean part? or If there is an charge?

Dear Lety,

It might matter if you will be having a large group and setting up chairs etc.
If not, for small intimate weddings I think there are no hoops to jump through.
It is a public access beach.
