I'm in the beginning stages of planning a wedding which I'd like to be in the Plymouth Area. I'm finding all the regular venues (Hotels, Golf Clubs, etc) but was wondering if anyone had other recommendations?

Thanks!

I got married in Plymouth in 2010 at Southers Marsh Golf Club and they did an amazing job. I loved the venue and the people there were fantastic to work with. At that time they didn't do a lot of wedding advertising, and I'm so glad I stumbled on them. They are definitely worth checking out!

I got married at The Jones River Trading Company in May 2009. It is in Kingston but is well worth a little trip out of Plymouth. There is no other place around like it. You can see their website at www.thejonesrivertrading.com. It is not a super impressive website but I attached a picture of the venue on our day.

I had thought about East Bay Grille for the reception and thought a ceremony in Brewster Gardens would be a nice start to the evening. My main concern is weather, of course.

Depending on the size of your wedding you may want to check out the Plymouth Yacht Club for either the ceremony, or both ceremony and reception. http://www.plymouthyachtclub.org/functions.html

We had 100 guests and wanted the ceremony and reception in the same location so we thought it was too small for both for us. But the views are gorgeous and its right near East Bay Grille.
