Venue for Brunch Wedding

Does anyone know of a venue that lets you set up the day before and would be nice for a brunch wedding. We're hoping to have about 150 people. We really don't want to pay to rent a hall for two days. We're willing to drive quite a bit out of the city to get a reasonable price. I am thinking it might be best to get a caterer so we don't end up with cheap breakfast buffet foods - we were hoping for crepes with strawberries and whipping creme (and whatever they might suggest that would go nicely...) I really don't want scrambled eggs and sausage. Any ideas?

I used Sandhills Community Hall. It's considered outside the city, not too far out though. We had around 170 guests. I rented it from Friday to Sunday for $425 ($350 if you you didn't book Sunday). We did have to pay an additional $350 damage deposit, but that was returned to us about a month after our wedding. That was the cheapest deal I could find for that many guests and for the entire weekend. They also have the option of using their caterers, or bringing in your own. Wonderful ladies and amazing food! I enjoyed my experience dealing with the hall lady and the caterers. I would recommend them. They were very accomodating for us. Hope this helps. You can call the Florence (the hall lady) at 780-962-3104 or 780-962-4441.
