Looking for a venue near water
Hi, I just recently got in engaged and im looking for venues in the Clarksville, Tn area. We want to get married near the water in autumn. We really wanted to get married near a waterfall for the ceremony. If anyone knows of any venues in this location with those qualities I would appreciate it very much. We are getting married Oct.10,2012 and the sooner I have a venue booked the better and less stress for this frazzled bride with very little time to plan. And thanks again everyone!

Sorry,no water features but The Magnolia House is great for a stress free small wedding.
Has anyone heard of the Water Street evnt center to have a wedding ceremony and reception close by?Does anyone have photos i could see to get a visual of what it looks like.
Yes, WaterStreet Events is a beautiful place! They were flooded out in the May flood and so everything is all new!!
It is large and I think it would be very easy to a wedding and reception in the same area. The owners are great too. I've worked this them at other weddings.
The pictures on their site are really nice too.

Water Street Even Center is right on the Cumberland River. Pretty building and great view of river, it's only a few yards from the back door. I've DJ'd in there several times.

Thanks guys for your help. The venue looks perfect for what we want. When I got a hold of Ms.Terri for booking the day we want is open but it's really expensive , alittle out of budget. Any tips for trying to get a discount or flex alittle in price?Kinda new to this any advice would be great! Thanks, Emily
I'm working with a bride now who has quite a bit of family coming from out of town and so they are taking time off from work anyway to attend. She chose a Monday for their wedding and the venue gave her a very good deal just because it was a "non-traditional" wedding day. You might consider doing a different day than Saturday. Sometimes even a Friday night is a little cheaper. It might save you a bit of money :-)

Since Water Street is out of your budget, you'll probably have to forget about being close to water. Try contacting the Quality Inn at exit 4 in Clarksville. They have a beautiful reception hall and some of the best prices in the area. The staff is great to work with. Book them and if you need a DJ, I'll double down to help you with a great price for your party. Maybe you can have your ceremony by the river and hold the reception there.
We dont want to get married on saturday. We thought about thursday or friday. Any different in the prices , they offer catering does the price change or i get charged a fee to go with some one else? The price doesnt include them braking down the tables and chairs but us. How early will they give us to come in or is it just from the time I have it rented for?
Those would all be good questions to ask Water Street. Details like that I'm not really going to be able to help you with. If you were to call them back you might just be completely upfront with them and say we are looking to use this space and we can pay $$$$. Then ask them exactly what they can do for you with that price. You might have to do more leg work before and after but it might really be worth it if you can have the seating and beautiful reception area you desire. Just remember, that background of your reception area will be in your pictures forever. If you have a bad taste in your mouth for the place you end up choosing it will always be a damper when you look at the pictures. So that extra work to get it right where you want it could really pay off. Weddings are an investment and one you should be completely happy with when you are through :-)
