Who are you using for your wedding cake? We are looking for a simple cake, 2 or 3 tiers, either sugar flowers or real flowers that tastes great but can be bought on a small budget. What did / are you paying for your cake?

We got our cake from Publix (the local grocery store) and had tons of compliments on how good it was. It's been almost a year, but I think we paid around $300+ for 3-tiers serving 100+. We had a picture of what we had in mind, so we provided that along with the ribbon to use for the style and then ordered a few extra flowers from our florist to be used for the cake.
Good luck!
We are using Cakes by Karol. She was reccomended to us by our caterer. We are doing a cupcake tower for 50 people with a 6" cake ontop for about $220. We are doing a coconut cake with key lime filing and vanilla frosting. You can email her for a quote. She responds very quickly and is wonderful to deal with so far. I've also heard Publix has good cakes. Not sure of the prices though. Good luck :)
We got ours from Publix too and I was fantastic and under $200. Looked great and tasted delicious.
We got ours at Albertson's (grocery store) and it was delicious, beautiful and inexpensive. We had a 2 tier white cake with sugar shells and fondant icing, plain on top for our cake topper. We had 40 guests and tons of cake leftover for about $200
Key West Cakes!!! I don't remember how expensive, but probably the best cake I've ever had. We go back every year and have their cupcakes. Absolutely delicious...well worth any extra money over a Publix cake.
My cousin got hers from Publix and LOVED it. I, on the other hand was "off beat" and saved a lot of money by ordering Key Lime Pie from the Key Lime Company upon arrival to Key West! It was amazing and delicious.
We used Cakes by Karol too! We got a 2 tier and it was $240. It was great tasting cake!!
The local bakery, Croissants de France, on Duval was amazing! They can create smaller versions of their over-the-top ones depending on the # of your guests and it was as delicious as it was beautiful...they arrange a tasting before which was lots of fun...congratulations!
We used Key West Cakes too. They were FANTASTIC!! We had a small party (24 people) and had a two layer cake, one was chocolate with chocolate ganache, and the second layer was white cake with key lime filling, with buttercream frosting, so yum! I want to say we spent around $300 for the cake and delivery. We had our own topper delivered to the shop, as well as real flowers from our florist, which they used to decorate the cake. We even had them create cupcakes with the same flavors for our one year anniversary which they delivered to the restaurant for us. Their customer service is fabulous and their creations are delicious, you can't go wrong. :) Congrats!!

We used publix for our wedding. They are great because the cake is budget friendly, completely customizable (color variations, filling, flavor, icing... the works) and they're beautiful.
