We went to look at the Towers this weekend and loved the venue. But, were concerned that there is no air conditioning inside. We were looking at a June/July wedding. Anyone had their wedding their or been to a wedding there that can offer any input on this issue?
Thanks so much!

Hey, I'm actually a wedding photographer... I have done weddings there. June is not bad, but July does get pretty hot without the AC. You never know though, the snow has been crazy this year.

Hope this helps!

I am a minister who has been there many times without a problem. It is right on the water and that helps a lot. But doe remember if it is a hot day it will be the same inside. Lovely spot

We love The Towers and even had a stone engraved by the fountain (charitable donation)!

Our wedding reception was held there in late July in the afternoon. We had the ceremony at URI (around 1:00) and though the high was 77 that day, I don't remember it being hot or unbearable inside. It was overcast but since you are right on the water it was fine.

Our guests still talk about the wedding and the food (lobsters -- thank you, West Bay Gourmet!).

Hey, it may just be because I run around so much. I do LOVE the towers! It's a great venue, and everyone always seems happy there.

Hey Kaitlyn,

Our wedding was July 9, 2010 at the Towers. It was during the heat wave we had last summer. It was not terrible, but it was definitely warm up there. We were told it would feel like AC because of the stone and all the windows, etc.- but it did not. We had some rain during dinner, which cooled things down a bit. We had so much fun that it didn't really matter, but if you're concerned about getting sweaty, I would find another venue. Good luck!!
