I am planning a small (30-40 ppl) wedding in New Canaan, CT mid-April 2011 @ 4pm. The costs seem to be spiraling out of control! (Church alone: $2,000) The reception venue is looking like it will be at least $5200 for a buffet dinner and drinks. Since we can't be outside in April, any suggestions for a pretty, more affordable reception venue?
Also, I was quoted a min. of $3,000 for flowers, so I plan to do most of them myself. Different family members will do music and photos.
My biggest concern is what to do the day of the wedding, since I can't be setting up/coordinating AND be a happy/relaxed bride. Any suggestions for a hands-on planner/assistant who will help me cut costs and implement/coordinate the day of the wedding?
