Hi! Chattanooga is a wonderful place to have a small outdoor wedding. Check out permits for city parks. You can get married on the Walnut Street Bridge, in Chester Frost Park or in Coolidge Park. There are also really pretty gardens like UTC's Shakespeare Garden, the garden at the Mayor's Mansion, the rock garden at the Fairyland Club and the Sculpture Garden at Bluff View. A lot of these places are also great to hold a reception or there's a great place nearby. There are other great places, too, like the River Inn (riverinnevents.com), Gordon Lee Mansion, Grandview (prices are great for M-Th) and the Chattanooga Theatre Center. I've also heard there's somewhere in Hixson where you can rent an island pretty inexpensively and there's a bed and breakfast on top of Lookout Mountain that does some events.

For the budget conscious bride I also recommend that you look outside the box for food. Consider catering from places like the Flat Iron Deli (downtown) that have done some really lovely catering for parties, and that are extremely reasonable.

Hello there! I am a violinist with professional standards and very competitive fees. My base is in Knoxville, Tn, and including travel time, expense, etc. I will play your complete ceremony for only 215.00
By complete, I mean 15 to 20 minutes of prelude music (as guests arrive and are seated), music for all of the bridal parties, brides entrance, and the recessional.
I am also available to entertain at the reception.

I've dones cakes for weddings in Chester Frost Park, both outdoors and at the Pavilion they offer. I think the Pavillion is very reasonable to rent. Also, I have done wedding a wedding at Lookout Lake Bed & Breakfast in Chattanooga. I'm not sure of the cost for Lookout Lake, but here is a link to their website if you'd like to contact them.
