So after looking for weeks we have come across the Palmetto Club in Daytona. GEI Catering is hosting. The venue looks a little outdated which I am a little worried about. I do no like the chairs.. they will need covers. Has anyone had their wedding there??? we haven't looked at it yet so i'm hoping that it will be a little better than the pics! Thanks!

As a planner, I highly suggest looking into another venue. Some options may be Peninsula Club, Lakeside Center, Riverside Pavilion. The Palmetto Club is outdated and setup more for a VFW building. To make it look "decent" for pics you would need to bring in pipe and drape and lots of decor. Plus, think of the outside for pics-not very pretty.
If you need anything you can email me or call me!

Hello Mimi,

DJ Vern from Pyramid Disc Jockeys here. We've been at the Palmetto Club many times. Riverside pavilion, The Wilbur Boathouse and Lakeside City Center in Port Orange are a bit of a slight upwards place than Palmetto Club. Another pretty decent place for you is the Historic Anderson Price Building and finally the historic Casements in Ormond Beach. I didn't want to throw too many out there, just wanted to try and give you a few options. Hope this helps! Call or e-mail us if we can answer any other questions about it or if you are in need of musical entertainment for your wedding.

Sincerely,

As a planner I also agree. The Palmetto Club is not your best choice. I am planning a Masquerade ball at St. Demetrious in April and the facility is beautiful. I also have done events at Women's Peninsula Club, Riverside Pavillion Port of Orange, and The Piggote Center just to name a few. All of these places let you bring in your own Caterer. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to give me a call or email me>

I was just at St. Demetrius Hall DJing this past Friday night and yes Krystal is correct, that place is pretty good also. It has a beautiful riverfront setting with all glass windows straight to the water. Not bad overall and a rather large room in comparison to some others.
