totally outdoor wedding reception with shelter possibility?!?

Dear All!
We plan to marry very soon, but we are at a very low budget. Can anybody suggest any park around Palo Alto, which allows mariges, catering and drinks. It would be ideal to have a shelter in case of rain (not very likely, but still, we marry in the end of april 2009).
Thanks a lot, Olga.

There is a woundreful spot in Monte Rio thru the parks and rec dept that is only 1000. the meadow is very pretty and that includes the hall with a full kitchen for your caterer. Not much decorating needed at all. If Monte rio is to far maybe try your parks and rec. dept. I have a friend looking in your area so was woundering if you found a low priced place in your area

How much is low? There's a venue in Burlingame that is really nice and their package deals start from $2000. Check out http://www.wedgewoodbanquet.com/crystal_springs/index.html.

Rengstorff House in Mountain View is an all outdoor venue and they allow tents with restrictions. You can place a deposit on a tent in case there is rain. I had my wedding there in July (no rain!) and I loved it! Their 8 hour rental deal is almost $1,000 cheaper than either Holbrook-Palmer park and Lucie Stern ballroom in Palo Alto with no community center feel.
