I just recently got Engaged and am looking to have an October Wedding in Northwest Arkansas. I have alwasy wanted to get married in the thorn crown chappel during the fall season, I just recently found out that will probably not happen. My fiance's family is very large and the 100 guest maximum will not work for us. Another issue is that I currently live on the east coast, so it is difficult to just spend a weekend looking for a location, however my entire bridal party lives in the area so i do have help. I am looking for gret ideas on ceremony/reception sites. Can anyone help?

Did you know that there is also on the same grounds the Thorncrown Worship Center, which seats 300 people? It is beautiful too and you can view it on the Thorncrown webcite. Where the chappel is on flat terrain, the worship center entrance is higher than the stage area where the Bride and Groom and wedding party stand. That means you have to descend on long wide steps down to the stage. The backdrop behind the stage is beautiful. The problem in Eureka will be finding a large enough place for 300 people that is also pretty for the reception. The Crescent hotel is the best place for a large crowd in a beautiful setting. They have areas inside and outside the hotel. My daughter and I plan wedding events and there other some other places in NW Arkansas that are nice places for a wedding, I will do a little research for you and get back to you. You can contact me through this message board or my e-mail which is pmsbetty1@aol.com. Betty Phillips

I would highly recommend the Crescent Hotel for your wedding. Beautiful, historic, and haunted! Great atmosphere for your guests to keep them talking for months after the wedding. I am a professional photographer in Eureka Springs and have photographed many locations here in Eureka. Be glad to help if you need images to see of any location. purdyartco@earthlink.net Melodye Purdy, Purdy Art Co.

The Mildred B. Cooper is also a cool chapel in Bella Vista. I am a professional event designer and live in Fayetteville. snerQ productions often does the leg work for clients who reside out of town. We have done several for newly engaged couples living in Texas. If you think you might be interested in hiring someone, please review our website or call me. Best and Congrats!!!
