Hi ladies have any of you had your wedding or know of someone who had thier wedding help at the opera center in las olas if so please share your experience because I'm leaning towards booking the venue for my reception but wanted to see some reviews about the venue thanks in advance

yes harrisgordon I have just seen the venue this week and it's beautifull but yet pricey 7 dollar valet is required and to rent the venue is around 25 hundred but you get to use every room in the venue which is great the capacity to me is about 125 they say 150 but it will be tight to me

Omg i'm soo happy I've found someone going through the same thing as me i agree with you this venue hunting have made me stress and want to give up. ft auderdale doesn't have much venue to choose from they are mostly in miami. It's been harder for me because i'm looking for a venue that has wood or tile floors due to me wanting to use charvari chairs. Since i want to be lacal I may go with the opera center but it will throw me over my budget cause on sat it cost 2544 plus everyone says i would have to pay the valet because it won't look good to have the guest pay thier own valet and plus there is a 25 dollar per hr fee for security which will come to atleast 300 dollars

Ughhhhhhhhhh....that's quickly adding up! Part of my venue issue is that I no longer live in South Florida, so I'm doing a lot of research online. Once I gather my list I'll make a trip in to meet with everyone and cement details.But in the meantime...ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!:-)
We're doing our own food, and looking at 150 guests...give or take. We were also hoping for somewhere with a beachfront option. All of that plus affordable! It must exist! I wish us both luck!
So, why specifically chivari chairs?

I never been a fan of the whole chair covers idea I've always loved how elegant the charvari chairs look like. If you want beach front add the swimmimg hall of fame to your list the only problem is you pay for parking and another one is the shane center but it's in south beach area and for sat rental is around 2500 and you can bring your own food. If I come across anymore i'll email you some and I agree good luck for the both of us

Hey I'm glad you loved it I loved it to when I saw it but I've been either over thinking everything or maybe Ive just been stressing because now I'm worried about how las olas gets on a saturday night when all the clubs are open because it be pack. Also I'm worried that maybe the club music will over shadow my reception. Is it me or I'm freaking out for no reason and that everything shall be find if I was to book the opera center. Also I've still been looking because I'm trying to budget as much as I can because if you notive the opera venue to rent is about 3k which is a bit over the my budget for a venue. What do you think about chavari chairs being on carpet because that's why I haven't found thee venue yet because I'm limted myself to venues that have wood or title floor to go with the charvari chairs. sooorry it's long

I don't see the carpet being a problem at all! Ok..you ARE over thinking! lol. I'm sure not one guest will complain about it! (And if they do, they're the ones with the problem!)

Where is the closest club to the Center? It's not next door,so I don't believe the volume of the music will hamper your entertainment much, if at all. The traffic is a valid concern though. What time is your reception scheduled?

The budget I also understand. My price is less because it's on a Friday evening as opposed to the weekend. So much to think about! But don't over stress! It'll keep you from making any decisions at all.
What about catering? How is that working out on your end?
