My fiance is Catholic, but I am not. We would like to get married in a church. But since my fiance is not from this area he does not belong to a congregation yet in the area. He is looking though. It would be nice to find a Catholic church for him, it would mean a lot to him. We both know this is not likely to happen since I am not Catholic. Does anyone have any suggestions for churches in the youngstown/boardman area (catholic or not)?

My fiance and I are in a similar situation (I am Catholic, he is not). We've been working with Father Greg Maturi at St. Dominic's in Youngstown (77 East Lucius Avenue; 330-783-1900). I'm technically a member of this congregation, but nine months of the year, I'm in another area.

If you can get in touch with Father Greg, he can try to make things work for you (so far, he's bent over backwards to take care of us).

Try St Michaels Church in Canfield, Ohio. The pastor there is very kind and will help you. If you want to get married in that church, he will find a way to make it happen. It is a very nice new but traditional church. I wanted my daughter to get married there but we waited too long and Pastor already had the date booked. Good luck!!
