I am looking for a location (Tampa area) where we can have the ceremony outside and the reception inside at the same location. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?!?

The Rusty Pelican... that's where I had my reception (I chose a church wedding)... But you can get married in a gazebo by the water if you want then have the reception inside... it's really pretty, and the price is WAY cheaper than on the beach!

There are a lot of Country Clubs in and around the Tampa area that have great outdoor ceremony locations and amazing indoor reception areas. As you look at outdoor locations are you looking for a beach setting, a golf course, a wooded area, or list list of possibilities goes on? How many guests are you thinking?

If you are looking for a dockside setting with indoor reception a great location is Little Harbor Resort & Spa in Ruskin, FL. It is just about 20-30 minutes south of Tampa and located on Tampa Bay. They have a beautiful location and great food. There are also great country clubs I could recommend if that is the setting you are interested in. The Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel has great outdoor ceremony settings as well as lovely indoor reception areas. (I am attaching a photo from a recent wedding there). As Kristenbruce224 mentioned the Rusty Pelican is a nice choice.

Please feel free to send me an e-mail if you need additional suggestions - carlastehmanphotography@gmail.com

I think a great place in Tampa is the University of Tampa... Beautiful grounds along the river and great inddoor options...
You can also try the STraz Center ( Used to be the Performing Arts Center) Great tent overlooking the water and reception at Maestro's upstairs....
you Could also try the Westin at Harbour Island.. Again ceremony overlooking the water and reception indoors in several options...
All great places with water views for the ceremony ourdoors....

There is also USF - they have a great outdoor courtyard right next to the Gibbons Center, which is a wonderful space for tables and dancing.

Twinkeletoes08 is right about the Palmetto Club in Lithia. Another GREAT location! They have a lot of options and I believe give discounts depending on what day of the week you have your wedding. You can have the wedding outside on the lawn and the reception in their gorgeous ballroom.

Best of luck as you plan for your big day!

My sister got married at the Rusty Pelican with an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. It was beautiful. I got married at the Westin Harbour Island but had both indoors due to the July heat. I have seen weddings there that had outdoor ceremonies though. Both places I would highly recommend.

I am a photographer in Tampa and got married 2 years ago at Tampa Palms. The ceremony was outside on the veranda (covered) overlooking the golf course and pond. We had the reception in the ballroom and no other parties are planned the same night as your wedding. There are about 20-25 rooms available for guests upstairs so my family and wedding party only had to walk upstairs after the night was over! Call Jeannelle Rossano at TP and tell her Jessica Herndon sent you. She is an amazing planner and I was 100% pleased!

I second the Palmetto Club. It's really beautiful! Hope you find your dream venue!
