Logistics advice for ceremony at Lakeside Rose Gardens
I'm getting married at the Rose Gardens next month, but haven't even begun to figure out logistics of the ceremony. Does anyone have any tips on where they put chairs to seat guests (we are looking at about 100), from where the bridal party made an entrance and how the parking situation worked out? We have a 4 hour block on a Sunday afternoon with the ceremony scheduled at 4pm. I live out of state, and I don't think I will be in the area early enough to drive by in hopes of seeing a ceremony take place. Thanks for any and all feedback!
We do events there monthly. most brides will set up chairs on either side of the reflection pool facing away from Lake Avenue, toward the arbors. For the grandest entrance, I would have a limo drop you off from the street and take the walk down through your guests and next to the reflection pool. Some brides will also rent the nearby pavilion to have an area to hang out in. I've even had a bride do a tent there but they weren't supposed to. :) I would recommend an air conditioned vehicle until you need to make an entrance.
I agree with everything rosebouquets has said. The chair companies set these chairs up regularly. They know what to do. Talk to them. TOTALLY agree about the limo idea. It is NOT a shady park, and you don't want to be soaked and sunburned for your photos.
Thank you both so much! I feel better about not really having a chance to go and plan it out in advance. I hadn't thought about the rental place having experience there, but it makes sense. I will probably need to figure out an alternative entrace since we hadn't planned (nor budgeted) for a limo. Minor detail to work around later. Thank you again for your advice!
