My fiance and I got engaged in December of 2010. We are getting married 05/30/2011 at Erhart's by the Sea, in San Pedro (Ft. MacArthur). I wanted to see if anyone had recommendations for a wedding planner? I am working with Andrea Cross, the catering manager with Erhart's. Has anyone worked with her? If so, would you recommend me using a wedding planner despite the fact the catering manager said she would basically serve as a "date of events coordinator"? Thanks all for ANY help you can give me.
First off, congratulations! My husband and I got married at Fort MacArthur last year. However, before we found Fort MacArthur, we were working with Ngoc Nguyen from Skybox Event Productions (www.skyboxeventproductions.com) at a different site. When we discovered Erhart's, we cancelled the other site (sacrificing our initial deposit) but kept working with Ngoc, who by the way was absolutely awesome to work with! She was organized, professional, and helped us out a lot. We worked with Andrea mostly on site-specific stuff, but they've done so many weddings at Erhart's that I'm sure they would be able to handle anything you can throw at them. And by the way, the food was SO GOOD! We got the chocolate fountain for our dessert display, and it was a big hit!

What dinner entrees did you pick and better yet which entrees do you recommend, including appetizers? We were curious about the macadamia encrusted mahi mahi. I'd love to hear from a bride who had her wedding at the same location we will be having ours next year. Any other recommendations or tips to know?
