Wedding in Sunset Beach 2011

Hey everyone, I am thinking that I might want to get married on Sunset Beach 2011, will they allow for a wedding and a reception to take place on the beach. I have a beach barbeque in mind, tiki torches, steel drum band etc, but I have never seen anything like this take place on Sunset, and have been going there for 20+ years. Any advice or suggestions for officiants, and caterers would be great!

Sounds cool! But it doesn't look like you would be able to (see rule # 10 here: http://tinyurl.com/25n9f3r ). I would check with the town to be sure, though.
I do have a recommendation for an officiant and photographer (they're a team): Beach People Weddings (www.beachpeopleweddings.com) -check them out on FB, too.
Good luck!

I know that they will allow a wedding to take place on Sunset. I held mine for about 120 people on 40th Street. The only thing that you have to worry about what that is parking. I pre bought parking tickets from the pier and then had rented vans to take people back and forth. The other thing you might want to do is have something for guests to wipe their feet off with...dry paintbrushes will work. I used baby wipes. I brought my officiant from home. I had my reception at TAMERS from Ocean Ridge and loved the food and the atmosphere! And I highly highly highly recommend Sugar Confections for a wedding cake. She did mine and it was amazing. Check out her website at sugarconfections.com
Hope this helps!

art catering is the way to go if you want something catered. their food is delicious and they are wonderful to work with . getting married on the beach is easy, but everything has to be off the beach by nightfall.
