Our cake lady is Cathy Young with Cakes by Cathy. She works out of her house, does not have a web site and was the Knot 2007 pick, and usually stays booked way ahead. She came highly recommended by every wedding planner and cater we interviewed! We went for a tasting a couple weeks ago and the cakes were to die for! Our wedding planner told us that most of his brides don't even go for a tasting, she is that good!

I used Margaret with A New Leaf for flowers and HIGHLY recommend her. She'll work with any budget and has tons of pics for ideas.
I also HIGHLY recommend Cakes & More by Cynthia. She was so accomodating; we booked on a tasting of her frostings alone! We literally had no cake left at our wedding, everybody loved it. We used Pino de Fazio via gigmasters.com for Spanish guitar and loved him. He even sent a CD of his music after the wedding as a thank you for booking him.

I think Chris Story can play just about anything. We booked him for his Country music. He's played for Red McComb's Birthday bash and Donald Trump's Miss America pageant if I remember correctly. For a photographer, we would highly recommend Elan Imaging. http://elanimaging.com/ Teresa is great! She is very personable as well as professional. She did my daughter's engagement pictures and they were fantastic. I am a photographer and I looked at a lot of photographers in San Antonio. Her lighting and color is fantastic.

I have truly enjoyed working with him and his work is outstanding. He did our engagement pics and they were professional and so 'us.' He is doing my bridals, the rehearsal dinner, and the entire day for us this summer. I could seriously go on and on about him! This was an area I was willing to splurge on because the pictures last a life time, but with Mark, not only am I getting exactly what we wanted...excellent work, professional, fun, personable, etc., he is reasonable on the bank account! Please let me know if anyone needs further help...love it!
