The city of Leawood has a beautiful event space call The Ironswood Lodge. The rental fee include usage of the full commercial kitchen, chairs, and tables, setup and break down. The space is contemporary with high ceilings, large garage door style windows, wood beams and metal chandeliers. I didn't have my ceremony there but it is large enough to seat 250 ppl banquet style. I think there is also an amphitheater near by if you wanted an outdoor wedding. (http://www.leawood.org/parks/lodge.aspx) The lodge is pretty popular and dates fills up quickly. If you are looking for a place that is more centralized, check out the VillaKC (www.thevillakc.com) near the plaza. I didn't use the space but did use them to cater my wedding. Raven Carr, the owner/event planner is awesome to work with!
