Congratulations! Fredericksburg is a beautiful place to get married! The venues really depend on how large your wedding will be and if you prefer indoor or outdoor settings. General first thoughts for reception are: Nimitz Ballroom, Hangar Hotel, Becker Vineyards or Trois Estates. If you give me more details, I will be happy to provide more specific information and tips. Good luck!

Kelli and Derek's wedding was a Becker Vineyards and it was fabulous. The ceremony was held outside, between the winery and the Lavender Haus. The reception started on the patio and progressed into the Lavender Haus. We highly recommend it.

Our 2nd choice was the vineyard very close to it called Grape Creek Vineyard. They had a nice facility also.

If you are looking for a slightly smaller venue but one that can still accomodate 50-100 people, I urge you to try Hoffman Haus. Lovely boutique property. At least 13 rooms (each w own mini kitchen setup). I have seen several fab weddings there. Even bigger receptions using tents etc. Ceremony can be there in the garden or the great hall or another location in town. I love the place and the people! (they really have become like family) Hubby and I used for our wedding guests lodging (& the hampton inn 1/2 block away for overflow). We had a great western themed night-before party on site. Also don't forget horse and carriage for a little romance. I now live in Fburg so if u have any other questions I can help with email highkc@hotmail.com. Good luck & best wishes!
