The Weymouth Center is an excellent option. It sits on historic grounds with beautiful gardens and fountains. It is an idyllic setting to combine a wedding and reception at one venue. You can also do that at The Country Club of North Carolina. The club's terrace provides a lovely backdrop overlooking a lake. They're used to handling tents, if you choose, and the ballroom is lovely. The Sir Walter Raleigh Garden at Sandhills Community College is another option. Like The Weymouth Center, it features beautifully manicured gardens. It doesn't have quite the same capacity as The Weymouth Center and I don't believe you could do a reception there but it's a lovely spot for a small to medium sized wedding ceremony.

Congratulations on your engagement! Another nice place is called the Inn at Bryant House www.innatbryanthouse.com. It is a bed and breakfast, but they can host small wedding receptions,and of course there is the Aberdeen Parks and Recreation. I hopes this helps.
