It has been so long since we went to look at V. Sattui that I don't remember the fees. I do know that what kept us from having our wedding there was all of the crazy restriction. They only let you use certain areas of the property, only let you have use of the venue for six hours or something like that, Will only let you use their vendors, etc. There was absolutely no budging on anything. It felt like they were running a wedding factory. We ended up choosing the Harvest Inn because not only was the venue beautiful, the staff was very accomidating and we had use of the venue for the whole weekend.
Our daughter got married at V.Sattui just last month. 10/3/09. V.Sattui was beyond wonderful!! The fee for a Saturday night is $8600.00 or so(for peak times). They were very accommodating at all times. They do have a preferred vendor list, but we were able to use outside vendors as well. You do have 6 hours or so, but for a wedding, that really is time enough. The wedding was gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous and people commented that it was like something out of a fairytale. We could not have been more pleased with V.Sattui. If you would like to see some recent photos at the site, please feel free to contact me at: email@example.com
Perhaps they have hired a new events coordinator at V. Sattui since my husband and I were there last. The coordinator at the time was anything but accomidating. In fact, while we were having our initial meeting, the coordinator spent half of the time bad mouthing former and current brides. All of the negativity definitely turned us off of the venue. I agree that 6 hours is long enough for a wedding, but as we were having a "destination wedding", we wanted something that could give us the flexibility to have our out of town guests come early or stay late without that time restriction. All that matters is what works for you. I'm glad everything worked out great for your daughter. V. Sattui is absolutely beautiful!
I am so sorry for the less than ideal meeting that you experienced at V.Sattui. That type of meeting would have been a big turn off for us as well. I can totally understand why you would not have gone forward with them under the circumstances. We are very lucky it turned out so well because there are so few places in Napa/St. Helena that can actually host weddings. The Harvest Inn is a very beautiful place as well and I can imagine your own wedding was stunning! Anyone who gets married in Napa, St. Helena, or Sonoma is lucky indeed!
