I was wondering if anyone out there had any ideas for a wedding venue outdoors. We have looked at a few places but nothing seems to work out. I would be grateful for any ideas that anyone has. Thank you so much. :)

Hi! I've been looking at some outdoor venues as well. One idea is Manakiki Golf course in Willoughby (they book up fast). The Holden Aboretum (Willoughby) is also another one. I'm actually going to be checking that out soon, it is supposed to be very pretty. I've also heard that the Bontanical Gardens is very nice as well. I hope this helps some:)

Hello!

I'm also getting married in September 2009. I noticed someone mentioned Manakiki - you can only have a ceremony there if you have a reception at one of their venues as well, and it's pricey.

We're getting married at Mapleside Farms in Brunswick. Beautiful location - you can get married on a hill overlooking a huge orchard - and very affordable. They're very helpful too.

P.S. Botanical Gardens charge $1,500 for 2 hours of use.

Yeah, plus at Botanical Gardens, cost of food starts at $130/plate! Ouch!! Some cool outdoor places we are looking into are the Cuyahoga Valley National Park (they have some facilities available) and Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens - surprisingly affordable. Mapleside is on our list as well :)

If you like the idea of the Botanical Gardens, check out the Cleveland Greenhouse. It's just down the street from the Botanical Gardens, and the site fee is only $175 ($150 if you're a Cleveland resident!) and it's gorgeous. I was hoping to have my own wedding there, but they were already booked.
Another option is Squire's Castle in Willoughby Hills. It's a public park so they can't guarantee you exclusive use, but it's free and the public stays out of your way.

Hi! I'm getting married May 16th at the Western Reserve Historical Museum (University Circle)...They have a beautiful outdooor garden that is situated between old mansions. And the museum makes for great pics too :) There is also a room that overlooks the garden in case of rain. There aren't to many pics on their website but the second one (across) from the link below is a pic of the garden.
